Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Paidex ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Paidex Is

Paidex is a bookkeeping tool that organizes payment records from invoice data you upload. It reports factual figures — amounts billed, amounts paid, dates, balances, and aging — and summarizes them with plain-language verdicts computed from fixed thresholds. Paidex does not evaluate, score, or rate consumers, and does not invent risk scores.

3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

IMPORTANT: Paidex is NOT a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., and does not provide "consumer reports." You agree that you will NOT use Paidex to make decisions regarding:

  • Credit eligibility or creditworthiness
  • Employment, promotion, or termination
  • Insurance underwriting or eligibility
  • Housing or tenant screening
  • Any other purpose covered by the FCRA

Paidex is for your own internal bookkeeping — understanding how your own customers have paid your own invoices. Misuse for FCRA-covered purposes may result in termination and legal liability.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Upload only invoice data you have the right to use.
  • Keep your account credentials confidential.
  • Do not use Paidex or its figures to discriminate against any person on the basis of a protected characteristic.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Data Accuracy

Paidex reports figures derived from the files you upload. It does not independently verify your data, and the accuracy of every report depends on the accuracy and completeness of what you import.

6. Data Retention

Your imported data remains in your account until you replace it with a new import or delete your account. Deleting your account removes associated data within 30 days.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paidex and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Your uploaded data is visible only to your own account.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or abuse of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
