Questions
Everything about getting your invoices in and reading the ledger back out.

Getting started
- What is Paidex?
- A payment-history tool for trades contractors. Upload your QuickBooks invoice export and Paidex shows you a ledger of how each customer actually pays — who owes, how long, and who pays late.
- Do I have to connect my QuickBooks account?
- No. Paidex works from a CSV export only. There is no OAuth connection, no API access, and nothing to authorize inside QuickBooks.
- What file do I upload?
- Any invoice report from QuickBooks Online, exported to CSV. Reports vary, which is why Paidex always shows a column-mapping step for you to confirm.
- What will it cost?
- Paidex is free while in early access. If paid plans arrive later, current accounts will get clear notice first.

Importing your data
- My headers are named oddly — will it still work?
- Yes. Paidex fuzzy-matches your headers to the fields it needs and shows you the mapping to confirm or adjust before importing.
- What if my export has no payment dates?
- It still imports. Without payment dates, Paidex runs in aging-only mode — reporting open balances and days past due. Add payment data later for average days-to-pay and late-payment verdicts.
- What happens when I import again?
- Importing replaces your previous dataset. Paidex clears your current customers, invoices, and payments and rebuilds from the new file, so your ledger always reflects your latest export.
- What about bad or blank rows?
- Rows with no customer name, no readable amount, or no readable invoice date are skipped, and the count of skipped rows is reported after import.

Verdicts
- Is this a review site or a rating service?
- No. Paidex records verifiable payment facts from your own invoices — never opinions, star ratings, written reviews, or invented risk scores. Verdicts like “Slow Pay” are plain-language summaries of the numbers on the row.
- How is a verdict decided?
- From two fixed thresholds — 21 days and 60 days late. Delinquent means an open balance 60+ days past due or an invoice paid 60+ days late; Slow Pay means late patterns past 21 days; On Time means neither.
- Why is someone Delinquent with a low current balance?
- Because a verdict looks at history, not just today. A customer who paid an old invoice more than 60 days late is flagged even if their current balance is small.

Privacy & legal
- Can other contractors see my customers?
- No. Your data lives in your own single account. Paidex has no shared network and no cross-account lookup.
- Is Paidex a credit bureau?
- No. Paidex is a bookkeeping tool for organizing your own invoice records. It is not a consumer reporting agency and its information should not be used for credit, employment, insurance, or housing decisions.
